Your LPG Sense app account is the mobile number you signed in with. You can delete it, and everything attached to it, at any time. You do not need to contact us first.
Delete it yourself, in the app
- Open LPG Sense and go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm. For your protection you may be asked to sign in again first.
Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone. There is no grace period and no way for us to restore the data afterwards.
Ask us to delete it
If you have lost access to the phone number, or would simply rather we did it, email support@lpg.africa from an address we can tie to your account, or include enough detail for us to identify it. We will confirm your identity before deleting anything — otherwise anyone could delete your account for you.
We action these within 30 days, and normally within a few working days. We will email you when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in, including your mobile number.
- Every cylinder you added — its name, room, size and settings.
- The identifier and name of every sensor you paired.
- Your entire reading history, and the usage and days-remaining estimates built from it.
- Your alert settings.
Deleting the app from your phone on its own does not delete your account — the data stays in your account so it is still there if you reinstall. Use one of the two routes above.
What we may keep, and why
If you have bought something from us, your order record is separate from your app account and is not deleted with it. South African tax and company law requires us to keep invoice and transaction records for a set period, so we keep those for as long as the law says and no longer. That record is not used to rebuild your app account. See our privacy policy for the retention periods.
Ordinary server logs may briefly contain a record of the requests your device made. They expire on their own and are not linked back to a deleted account.
