1. Procedure

Return requests must be sent to support@lpg.africa and must quote the order number. A return address will be provided in reply. Where the return is at our cost, an Aramex waybill will be provided. Goods returned without a prior request may not be processed.

2. Cooling-off period

Under section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, an order may be cancelled within 7 business daysof receipt of the goods, without reason and without penalty. The cost of returning the goods is for the customer’s account. The amount paid, including the R89 delivery charge, is refunded within 30 days of cancellation. See the cancellation policy.

3. Return under section 20 of the Consumer Protection Act

Goods may be returned within 10 business days of delivery where the customer had no opportunity to examine them before delivery and they are not of the type or quality reasonably expected, where a mixture of goods was delivered and some are refused, or where the goods were acquired for a particular purpose communicated to us before purchase and are not suitable for that purpose. Return is at our risk and expense in those cases.

4. Implied warranty

Under section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, goods that do not meet the requirements of section 55 may be returned within 6 months of delivery, at our risk and expense and without penalty. The customer elects repair, replacement or refund of the price paid. Where goods are repaired and the same or a further defect arises within 3 months of that repair, the customer may elect replacement or refund. Any new or reconditioned part fitted during a repair, and the labour to fit it, is warranted for 3 months from installation.

5. Change of mind

No return window is offered beyond the cooling-off period in clause 2. After that period, a return is available only on the grounds set out in clauses 3 and 4.

6. Warranty

No warranty is given beyond the implied warranty in clause 4. Section 55 of the Consumer Protection Act applies to the durability of the goods.

The battery is rated for up to 12 months of normal use. Reduction in battery capacity through normal ageing is not a defect.

7. Exchange

A replacement may be requested in place of a refund. Where the return is at our cost, the exchange is at our cost in both directions. Otherwise return carriage is for the customer’s account.

8. Charges

No restocking, handling or administration charge is levied on a return. A deduction may be made only where goods are returned damaged, incomplete or unfit for resale, other than as a result of examining them, and the amount will be notified before the refund is processed. No deduction is made under clauses 2, 3 or 4.

9. Refunds

Refunds are made in accordance with the refund policy.
