This policy explains how LPG Sense (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use lpg.africa. We process personal information in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What we collect
- Order & reservation details — your name, email address, phone number and delivery address, plus the items and quantities you reserve or buy.
- Communications — the contents of emails you send us at our support, orders or info addresses.
- Basic technical data — standard server logs (such as your IP address and browser type) needed to run the site securely.
We do not store card or payment details on this website. When card payments go live, they will be handled by a PCI-compliant payment provider.
Why we use it
- To process and fulfil your reservation or order, and to contact you about it.
- To provide support and answer your questions.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of trusted processors to run the service:
- Google Firebase(Cloud Firestore & App Hosting) — to store orders and host the website.
- Resend — to send your order confirmation and notify our team.
These providers process your information only on our instructions. We never sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed to support the product and meet our legal and accounting duties, then delete or anonymise them.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to its processing. To make a request, email info@lpg.africa.
